InnoMed Management Group, LLC (InnoMed) is a boutique physician practice consulting and management firm located in Lincoln, Nebraska. InnoMed helps physicians manage their practices by providing a broad scope of consulting services and innovative solutions. If aspects of projects come up that are outside the realm of InnoMed’s expertise, we partner with associates and firms that make up the “group” of InnoMed Management Group. Associates and firms utilized in past engagements include, but are not limited to, individuals with expertise in accounting, law, operations, information technology, third-party billing, market research, and web and graphic design.
InnoMed is unique in that 99% of our new business comes from referrals of satisfied clients.
OUR STORY
Aaron Clough, Founder and Principal of InnoMed has been surrounded by family members working in healthcare his entire life. Aaron’s father was a hospital CEO and his mother-in-law was his father’s director of nursing. Needless to say, it made for interesting dinner conversation while dating his wife! Aaron’s wife (Alissa) also from Nebraska, is an Internal Medicine/Pediatrics hospitalist and serves as the President of one of the largest physician-owned hospitalist practices in the country. Aaron knows first-hand the challenges physicians face in trying to provide the highest level of care to their patients while juggling the management of employees, overhead, and cash flow.
As his wife was completing her residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Aaron pursued his master’s degree in healthcare administration also at UNC, followed by a fellowship in physician practice management. While completing his fellowship, Aaron also provided contract management for a small oral maxillofacial surgery practice, where he oversaw all facets of the firm, from accounting and finances, to human resources and systems and procedures.
After Aaron and Alissa moved back to Nebraska in 2007, he founded InnoMed Management Group, LLC, with Dori Roth joining the team a year later. Much like Aaron’s childhood, Dori grew up in medicine, as her father was a family practice physician who also delivered over 300 babies a year. Both share similar management philosophies, complement each other’s skill sets, and share a passion for helping physicians and physician practices. While Aaron sees the “big picture” and focuses on strategic and related organizational issues, when it comes to practices, practice management, and leadership development, Dori’s skill set is second-to-none. Today, the duo have continued to grow InnoMed organically, through their reputation in healthcare and from satisfied client referrals.
InnoMed’s vision is to give physician practices access to high-level talent without the overhead of a Chief Executive Officer or Vice President. We understand that physician practices deal with many of the same competitive pressures – financial, operational, and strategic – that large medical groups and hospitals do, yet do not have the expertise on staff nor can afford the overhead of those organizations. InnoMed offers a network of experts for medical practices, experts with specialized talent normally found at larger institutions to complement your practice and practice leadership.
